The drum line needs some work right before the drop, the straight clapping every beat feels unfinished, and it never mixes up, like even speeding up the clapping or adding in something to make it different because after a while it gets annoying, and then when it transitions to a kick you can really tell that it is, theyre at a different volume and it sounds awkward, but the sampling and drop overall is really nice, much better than just gritty filth dubstep (haha in I'm using filth as a bad thing)

Its really cool overall, just take a look at mixing it up and making drumlines sound more normal

NocturneLabs responds:

Yeah, that transition was from clap to snare, and it is indeed painfully obvious. I'm in the process of reworking this song for another relase (my first EP!) in the not so distant future. I'm glad that this stands a bit different than standard filth dubstep ^^ I was kind of hoping that this track would sound uniqueish

The kick sounds really unpleasing, and the drop at 1:00 feels very unorganized and poorly mixed, the strings just sound really weird, our of place, like you took out way too much low-mid and high-mid and then pumped up their volume, and it doesn't sound good, and then you have those looping with a unorganized and not-tuned wobble bass just making pointless noise... I realize this is pretty well liked but I'm seeing a lot of flaws. Also you have way too much resonance overall for this kind of song

Lone-X responds:

Have you heard your stuff?

use a metronome, stuff feels out of place, also the beginning needs to progress faster.... I'm bored by 30 seconds, and not much changes until the 1 minute mark, I would say that you you move what is happening at the 1 minute mark 40 seconds before it happens, and same with the rest of it.... It moves really slow

Porkbeef responds:

Thanks. Much appreciated.

For this kind of tune you really need to up the bass on the drums and bass... Actually overall.... Its not a solid sound if you know what I mean

Was nice, but as a dubstep song it was lacking in melody, any form of drop, it had basic beats and nothing to pick up for it or anything... as a dance song it might work, but I just wouldnt list it as dubstep... I'll give you the benefit though and wont rate bad off that haha

sacarious responds:

ahaha true enough, its more of a house type tune which i know, the only reason i put it as dubstep is because allot of newbs would tell me because of the wobblebass and tempo that it was dubstep.

but thanks for the words.

Idk I like the Ay bass, makes it a lot more original... Actually reminds me a lot of my stuff haha, nicely done... Always like finding the 1 in 100 good songs listed as dub step in the audio portal

you need to orginize your sounds more. Listen to the first 20 seconds and think about this song. Good start, but I think its not finished

DesoFreelanceRecords responds:

It's still work in progress. I submitted the preview to get some ideas from listeners. The best judge is not myself but other people ;)
Thank You for suggestion, I will work harder at melody , and reupload finished stuff.

actually

This is ugly. The first 2 minutes are really ugly. Then we get a brief break. Then ugliness returns

The strings need work, and they take up the rest of the song. The random clanging sounds don't work, they are really ugly. Overall the composition is pretty poor. The instruments don't work well with eachother, and there is really no progression

Wanna become a pro animator/story boarder/character designer or producer/composer some day. 6 years until I'm off on my own so I got time to get better haha yoooo
